Women's Golf Finishes Play at Indiana Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Rutgers women's golf wrapped up play at the Indiana Invitational on Sunday in Bloomington. Sophomore Anna-Maria Diederichs was the top individual for the Scarlet Knights at tied for 53rd in the 98-player field, which featured all 14 Big Ten Conference teams and seven top-50 programs.
No. 17 Kent State won the invitational with its eight-under-par 856 (290-279-287), followed by No. 19 Maryland (+2) and No. 41 Michigan State (+6). Three student-athletes - Ashley Lau (Michigan), Valery Plata (Michigan State) and Emily Price (Kent State) - all tied for first at four under.
Diederichs finished the weekend with a team-high seven birdies, including two during Sunday's third round. Graduate student Manon Tounalom tied for 74th, while junior Maeve Rossi, sophomore Leigha Devine and freshman Rikke Nordvik tied for 79th. Freshman Annalie Swanepoel, who made her first tournament appearance of the spring, tied for 85th.
Rutgers now sets its eyes on the postseason, as it competes at the Big Ten Championship from April 23-25 in Mainville, Ohio.
