Football Returns to Full Capacity at SHI Stadium

Scarlet Knights unveil promotional schedule to welcome back fans

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football will be welcoming fans in full attendance when it opens the 2021 season at SHI Stadium. The announcement follows updated state guidance allowing outdoor venues to operate at full capacity. The Scarlet Knights will host six home games during the 2021 season, including a primetime kickoff against Temple University to start the Labor Day Weekend on Thursday, Sept. 2.
 
In their return to the Birthplace of College Football, Scarlet Knight fans will experience the sights and sounds that make college football special. The Marching Scarlet Knights, the Scarlet Walk and tailgating are all long-held traditions in Piscataway that were sidelined in 2020 due to the pandemic that fans can look forward to enjoying again.
 
Fans can purchase 2021 season tickets ONLINE HERE or contact the Rutgers Ticket Office at 1-866-445-GORU (4678). Single-game tickets will go on sale in July with season ticket holders provided early access to presale on July 8. A single-game waitlist will be established for early sales to non-season ticket holders on July 22.
 
Fans interested in purchasing single game tickets can sign up for the exclusive presale HERE. The general public will have the opportunity to purchase single-game tickets on July 26.
 
Rutgers football will open the season hosting Temple as part of Healthcare Heroes and New Jersey Football Night on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 6:30 p.m. The game will broadcast on Big Ten Network. The Scarlet Knights will welcome Delaware SHI Stadium on Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network. RU will continue its home slate, taking on Ohio State on Oct. 2 and Michigan State on Oct. 9 for Homecoming.
 
Rutgers will host Wisconsin and pay homage to members of the Armed Forces as part of Military Appreciation Day on Nov. 6 The Scarlet Knights will close out the regular season schedule on Nov. 27 against Maryland.
 
The Healthcare Heroes and Military Appreciation Day games are part of the "R Heroes" campaign when fans can donate purchased tickets for healthcare workers, servicemen and women and their families.

Nov. 27 vs. Maryland: Senior Day and Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Day
