Box Score PROVIDENCE, RI - The Scarlet Knights opened their fall season this weekend at the Brown University Invitational from September 17-19. The tournament had each duo play in three singles and three doubles matches against opponents from five different teams. Other schools in attendance included, University of Rhode Island, University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, Brown, and Stony Brook.
"The first tournament is always exciting and eye opening," says head coach Hilary Ritchie. "It reveals a lot about where we are and what we need to focus on in the upcoming weeks. The team sustained a high level of play throughout the weekend, showing that we have a good fitness base. Our focus at practice will be on anticipating and capitalizing on short ball opportunities as well as serving."
