PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Quarterback
Noah Vedral represents Rutgers football as a semifinalist for the 2021 William V. Campbell Trophy in a release from the National Football Foundation. The award recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.

Having earned his undergraduate degree in communications studies with a 3.96 GPA, Vedral holds a perfect 4.0 GPA as a Rutgers University graduate student working towards a master's degree in communication, information and media. The team captain has merited Big Ten Distinguished Scholar status each of the two previous years.

On the field, Vedral has started 11 games for the Scarlet Knights, ranking 28
th nationally and fourth in the Big Ten in 2021 with a 67.9 completion percentage. That includes a 22-for-28 performance at Syracuse and a 21-for-26 outing versus Delaware, totaling 10 completions over at least 20 yards overall. He added a career-high 71 rushing yards in the opening victory over Temple.

The NFF will announce 12-to-14 finalists in late October, and each of them will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2021 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class, presented by Fidelity Investments. Later this year, one member of the class will be declared as the winner of the 32
nd Campbell Trophy, having their postgraduate scholarship increased to $25,000 and receiving a 25-pound-bronze version of the iconic statue.
