PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The 2022 Rutgers football schedule is set following a shuffling of the league schedule by the Big Ten. The Scarlet Knights will host five Big Ten games at SHI Stadium as part of a six-game home slate.

After starting with a trip to Boston College on Sept. 3, RU hosts Wagner Sept. 10 in the home opener. The third non-conference game is scheduled for Sept. 17 at Temple.

The Big Ten campaign begins at home versus Iowa on Sept. 24. Other conference home games include Nebraska (Oct. 8), Indiana (Oct. 22), Michigan (Nov. 5) and Penn State (Nov. 19).

League road trips for 2022 are at Ohio State (Oct. 1), Minnesota (Oct. 29), Michigan State (Nov. 12) and Maryland (Nov. 26). Rutgers is one of five teams in the conference with at least five Big Ten road victories since 2020.
