| HOW IT HAPPENED |
- Lasha Petree's block, board, and bucket kept Rutgers close over the first five minutes before Michigan went on a 12-0 run, and an extended 17-2 stretch, to take a double-digit lead in the first period at 17-6.
- Both offenses were firing in the second as Rutgers made 5-of-6 shots during a stretch capped by Shug Dickson's 1,000th career point on a made triple. Michigan kept pace with 6-of-7 during that stretch, helping the Wolverines to a 44-25 lead at the break.
- Tyia Singleton scored five points in the third, but an 8-0 Wolverine spurt had the home team up by 30.
- RU ended the game on a 6-0 run, powered by four Petree free throws.
