Adam Korsak earned Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week, the Augusta Sports Council announced Tuesday. This marks the seventh time winning the honor for Korsak. In addition, he has been on the award's Ray's 8 list following 5-of-7 games in 2022.
The Aussie pinned 4-of-8 attempts inside the 20-yard line against the Hoosiers, including a season-long 66-yarder downed at the 10. The Scarlet Knights finished with a net put average of 44.6 in the game with -5 return yards against.
Korsak has led a punt unit that has not allowed a positive punt return on the season, holding opponents to -8 yards overall to rank second in the country. Rutgers ranks seventh nationally with a net punt average of 42.6.
A three-time captain for the Scarlet Knights, Korsak has downed 131 (42.2 percent) career punts inside the 20 with 124 fair catches, no blocks and no touchdowns returned on 310 attempts.
Rutgers is back in action Saturday at Minnesota. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network and the RWJBarnabas Health Rutgers Sports Network.
