MINNEAPOLIS – Rutgers football (4-4, 1-4) fell to Minnesota (5-3, 2-3) in a Big Ten road contest on Saturday at Huntington Bank Stadium.

Wimsatt led the RU offense into Minnesota territory on the first drive of the game with first-down passes to Ryan and TE
Johnny Langan. The drive ended with P
Adam Korsak pinning the Golden Gophers inside the 1-yard line. Korsak later added a 77-yard punt, a stadium record and the Aussie's third career attempt of over 70 yards.
Minnesota got on the board on its first drive of the afternoon, taking a 7-0 lead on a two-yard touchdown rush in the second quarter. The Gophers added another score on a one-yard touchdown rush with 5:14 left in the second quarter to take a 14-0 lead at halftime.
The Scarlet Knight defense was able to keep the Gophers off the scoreboard in the third quarter, but Minnesota added 17 points in the fourth quarter to close out the victory.Â
