- "We're pretty fired up about Soldano at 184. That's a huge win. Joe Heilmann coming back home as a fifth-year senior was really cool to see tonight, and Dean Peterson looked really sharp. We're fired up for those guys." - Head coach Scott Goodale.
| HOW IT HAPPENED |
- Dean Peterson (125) started the dual by escaping and landing a takedown in the second period before another takedown in the third and the riding time point scored the 6-1 decision.

- Sammy Alvarez (141) won a gritty 5-3 decision, holding a 4-3 lead after two with an escape in the third to start his season 1-0.
- After wrestling a redshirt year unattached, Tony White (149) made his official debut with a 7-2 decision on the strength of two takedowns, a stall, an escape, and riding time.
- Andrew Clark (157) rode out the entire second period to take 2:00 of riding time into the third period with the score tied at 0-0. An escape and a stall made it 1-1, so his 1:53 of riding time paved the path to the 2-1 decision.
- Connor O'Neill (165) came from behind to win an 8-7 decision. After a high-scoring second that saw the bout tied 5-5, Clarion's Eli Brinsky scored a takedown to lead 7-5, but after an escape and with less than 10 seconds left, O'Neill picked the foot and scored two on a clutch takedown to win 8-7.
- Jackson Turley (174) took a slim 3-2 lead into the final period after escaping a reversal. Starting bottom in the third, he escaped and battled to hold on to the 4-2 decision.
