BETHLEHEM, Pa. – No. 21 Rutgers wrestling split its matches on Saturday at the Journeymen WrangleMania event in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The Scarlet Knights delivered a dominant 50-0 win over Sacred Heart and followed with a tough 25-16 loss to No. 6 Arizona State to complete weekend action.

Sammy Alvarez (141) and
Brian Soldano (184) picked up two wins apiece, with Alvarez and Soldano defeating ranked opponents in RU's dual with the Sun Devils. Alvarez worked a comeback in his 8-4 decision over No. 19 Jesse Vasquez, while Soldano teched No. 22 Anthony Montalvo in the second period for his second ranked win in as many days.

John O'Donnell (HWT) added pins in Rutgers' first dual against the Pioneers. The 50 team points against SHU was the Scarlet Knights' most in a dual victory since it defeated Sacred Heart, 56-0, on Nov. 7, 2010.
Boone McDermott (HWT) also added a fall against the Sun Devils in the final bout of the night, giving RU seven falls on between the two duals.
