Leigha Devine and sophomore
Rikke Nordvik produced top-20 scorecards to highlight action for Rutgers women's golf on Tuesday at the Tulane Classic in New Orleans. Devine and Nordvik tied for 17th in the 93-player field.
With cold and windy conditions throughout the tournament's three rounds, the Scarlet Knights tied for 14th in the 17-team field. North Texas captured the team title with its 31-over-par 895, followed by No. 10 Michigan (+39) and UTSA (+47). No. 45 Ashley Lau (Michigan) and Patricia Sinolungan (North Texas) earned individual honors with their five-over-par 221s.
Nordvik fired off three birdies and 11 pars to move up 17 spots on the leaderboard, as she closed the day with a two-over-par 74. Nordvik finished with five birdies over her three rounds. Devine produced a six-over-par 78 on Tuesday to also finish 17th.
"We started on the back nine and my birdie on No. 10 set the tone for my day," Nordvik said. "I had a lot of confidence moving forward and felt good with my irons. It was great to finish the event with a good round."

Lucrezia Rossettin (T/68), senior
Maeve Rossi (T/75) and junior
Sun Hwang (T/88) rounded out the team scorecard on Tuesday. Hwang rolled in three birdies on Tuesday on holes nine, 11 and 13.

It will be a quick turnaround, as Rutgers is set to compete at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational from Friday through Sunday in Greensboro, Georiga.
