EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Rutgers tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to Delaware on Friday afternoon at the East Brunswick Racquet Club.
Freshman
Jackeline Lopez added a singles victory for the Scarlet Knights. Lopez claimed her team-leading sixth singles victory of the year with a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 2 spot. She is undefeated with a record 5-0 at the position, also owning a win at the No. 1 spot in her rookie campaign.
The Scarlet Knights fought to the final point in doubles matches, as the Blue Hens edged out 7-5 wins at both the No. 2 and No. 3 spot. Senior
Tess Fisher and freshman
Minchae Kim were up 6-5 at the No. 1 spot, thought their match would remain unfinished.
Kim and Fisher both pushed their matches to a third deciding set. However, their UDel opponents managed to outlast RU with the wins.

Rutgers is back at the East Brunswick Racquet Club on Saturday, March 19, hosting Yale for a 3 p.m. match.
