Tennis Tripped Up By Nebraska

Box Score EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Rutgers tennis fell, 4-0, to Nebraska in a Big Ten dual match on Saturday at the East Brunswick Racquet Club.

Rutgers' third doubles pairing of Kristiana Zahare and Daira Cardenas were in a tight set, down 5-4 in when the Cornhuskers scored a pair of 6-3 victories and first and second doubles to claim the doubles point.

Nebraska clinched the match with wins at first, third, and fifth singles.

Jackeline Lopez won her first set, 6-4, at second singles and was tied at 4-4 in the second when the match was clinched. Minchae Kim also won her first set at fourth singles and went into a third when the match was called. Alisa Prinyarux was locked in a close battle, down a set, but up 4-3 in the second.

The Scarlet Knights play a quick turnaround hosting Iowa on Sunday, April 10 at 11 a.m. at the East Brunswick Racquet Club.
