Bridgett Wins Gold at Big Ten Championships

Senior completes Big Ten sweep after capturing gold at the indoor championships
MINNEAPOLIS – Senior long jumper A'nan Bridgett won gold at the 2022 Big Ten Outdoor Championships on Saturday in Minneapolis, Minn, highlighting a day of three podium finishes for the Scarlet Knights.
Bridgett, the indoor Big Ten champion in the event, led a trio of Scarlet Knights competing for a spot on the podium in the men's long jump. He was joined by freshmen Sincere Robinson and Jabari Higgs-Salaam. Bridgett claimed first place, jumping 7.89m (25' 10.75"), followed by Robinson in sixth place with a leap of 7.47m (24' 6.25"). Higgs-Salaam finished just off the podium in ninth with a distance of 7.18m (23' 6.75").
Alivia Ash added to the point total on the women's side as she placed eighth in the high jump. She cleared the bar at 1.76m (5' 9.25").
