PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers wrestling mourns the loss of letterwinner Jesse Boyden, who passed away this weak at the age of 33. A member of the program from 2008-12, Boyden wrestled at 184 pounds through heavyweight during his collegiate career 'On the Banks'.

"Our whole New Jersey wrestling community and Rutgers wrestling sends its thoughts and prayers to Jesse's family," said head coach Scott Goodale.

A NJSIAA state champion at 215 pounds out of David Brearley High School in Kenilworth, Boyden earned high school All-America laurels and was a member of Goodale's inaugural recruiting class ranked as high as No. 3 in the country by WIN Magazine. Boyden appeared throughout the upper weights during his four-year tenure with the Scarlet Knights and was RU's 184-pound starter at the EIWA Championships in 2010.
