Rutgers collects one doubles and four singles wins to kick off ITA Regionals
PRINCETON, N.J. ā The Rutgers women's tennis team completed the first day of ITA Regionals, hosted by Princeton. Ā

Chloe Brown/Daira Cardenas continued their success together, improving to 4-0 this fall with an 8-7 (7) win over Fordham. The pair will continue onto the next round Saturday. Ā
SinglesĀ
The Scarlet Knights went on to pick up four singles wins in the round of 128 and 64. Ā
Tara Chilton got things trending in the right direction with a straight set win over Lehigh in the round of 128, 6-2, 6-0. She then fell in the next round. Ā
Jackeline Lopez stayed perfect on the fall season, collecting her fourth singles win of the slate over Army, 6-1, 6-2. Through all four matches, she has yet to drop a set. Ā
Newcomers Amira Badawi (0-6, 6-4, 11-9) and Mai Nguyen (6-1, 6-1) also picked up wins in the round of 64. Ā
Lopez, Badawi and Nguyen will continue onto the round of 32 on Saturday. Ā
