All-Big Ten Offense: Five Scarlet Knights Honored

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Led by an All-Big Ten Second Team selection for RB Kyle Monangai, five from Rutgers football were recognized in the offense voting released Wednesday. That includes three offensive linemen mentioned, the most for the Scarlet Knights at the position in a season in the Big Ten era. Both the conference's head coaches and media produce a listing.

In addition, DL Mayan Ahanotu, who was named honorable mention All-Big Ten by the media Tuesday, was selected as the team's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner. The honor is given to an individual who has distinguished themselves through sportsmanship, ethical behavior, is in good academic standing and demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.

The Scarlet Knights finish with 13 different players recognized, the second-highest total for the program in the Big Ten era behind the 14 honored in 2020.

BRYAN FELTER
Felter, from Westfield, New Jersey, started each of the last seven games at left guard, playing in all 12 overall. The Scarlet Knights rank first in the Big Ten and 13th nationally with just 1.17 sacks allowed per game and have rushed for 1,985 yards so far, the most for the team since 2015. That included having the league's leading rusher and seeing the team improve by 25.1 yards of total offense and 5.2 points per game. This marks the first All-Big Ten recognition for Felter.

Johnny Langan
JOHNNY LANGAN
Langan closes his collegiate career playing 11 games at tight end, recording 1,043 career passing yards, 840 rushing yards, 604 receiving yards and 20 total touchdowns over 56 games for the Scarlet Knights altogether. The two-time captain was part of the team's improvement in the run game, blocking for the league's leading rusher as RU has posted its most rushing yards (1,985) since 2015. The Wayne, New Jersey, native also contributed 14 receptions and earns honorable mention status for the first time.

KYLE MONANGAI
Monangai, who started all 12 games, ranks first in the Big Ten with 1,099 rushing yards, 115 more than any other player in the league. That included six games with at least 100 yards, five games with at least 20 carries and seven touchdowns. The Roseland, New Jersey, native had a high of 165 yards versus Temple and went for 159 versus No. 1 Ohio State, the second-most ever for a Scarlet Knight against a ranked opponent. Monangai earns All-Big Ten recognition for the first time in becoming the highest honored Rutgers running back since joining the league.

Hollin Pierce
HOLLIN PIERCE
Pierce moved to left tackle to start all 12 games to make it 36 consecutive starts overall dating back to 2021, the longest active streak on the team. The Trenton, New Jersey, native grades out as the seventh-highest tackle in the Big Ten in earning All-Big Ten recognition for the first time. The Scarlet Knights rank first in the Big Ten and 13th nationally with just 1.17 sacks allowed per game and have rushed for 1,985 yards so far, the most for the team since 2015. That included having the league's leading rusher and seeing the team improve by 25.1 yards of total offense and 5.2 points per game.

Zilinskas, from Englewood, Colorado, started all 12 games at center. The Scarlet Knights rank first in the Big Ten and 13th nationally with just 1.17 sacks allowed per game and have rushed for 1,985 yards so far, the most for the team since 2015. That included having the league's leading rusher and seeing the team improve by 25.1 yards of total offense and 5.2 points per game.
