
Women's Tennis Tripped Up By No. 16 Wisconsin

NEW ORLEANS, La. — The Rutgers women's tennis team (8-5, 0-3 B1G) was tripped by No. 16 Wisconsin (12-2, 3-0 B1G), 5-2, on Wednesday afternoon. The two Big Ten teams played a neutral site match at the University of New Orleans.
Doubles
Wisconsin claimed the doubles point after winning both matches on the first two courts. Action on the third court was tied 3-3 when play was suspended.
Singles
The Badgers went onto solidify their match win, securing four of six singles matches.
Tara Chilton picked up a win on the second court, battling in three sets, 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (6). She is now 9-4 on court No. 2 and has won seven of her last 10 matches.
Amira Badawi also earned the victory on court No. 3 in three sets, 2-6, 6-2, 7-5. She is 4-2 on the third court and 6-2 overall.
