Mar 28 | Women's Golf
FRESNO, Calif. – Rutgers women's golf wrapped up play at the Fresno State Classic on Tuesday afternoon, finishing in 8th place out of 15 teams with a score of 902 (305-293-304).
The Scarlet Knights were led by Maeve Rossi on the individual end, who picked up her third top-15 finish of the season and second in her last two events with a t-13 finish. Rossi's bogey-free second round, a 1-under 71, featured 17 pars and helped her vault up the leaderboards.
"I am proud of our effort today as the course played more difficult," head coach Kari Williams said. "These pins were in challenging sections of the green and the team's putting was tested. The wind picked up in the afternoon, but we stayed patient and finished our rounds with some good shots. We have a few weeks to prepare for the final stretch of the season at Ohio State and the Big Ten Championship."
