Rutgers Honored 128 Big Ten Distinguished Scholars

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – One hundred twenty-eight student-athletes from Rutgers Athletics were named 2022-23 Big Ten Distinguished Scholars, announced Tuesday by the conference. It marks the fourth consecutive school year that 100 or more Scarlet Knights have landed on the prestigious list.
Thirty-two students achieved perfect 4.0 GPAs during the 2023-24 school year. Established in 2008 to supplement the Academic All-Big Ten program, Distinguished Scholars must have earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition in the previous academic year, must have been enrolled full-time for the entire previous academic year (two semesters or three quarters), and earned a minimum GPA of 3.70 or better during the previous academic year.
A record 218 Rutgers student-athletes were recognized by the Big Ten as Spring 2023 Academic All-Conference on Monday to elevate the Scarlet Knights' 2022-23 total to 377 honorees, after 45 and 114 were selected in the winter and fall, respectively.
Perfect 4.0 GPA Bolded
