Women's Basketball Reveals 2023-24 Nonconference Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Coquese Washington and the Rutgers women's basketball released the 2023-24 nonconference schedule Thursday afternoon. Times and television designations will be announced at a later date. 

The Scarlet Knights will play 13 total nonconference contests in addition to 18 Big Ten games.  
 

RU will kick off its campaign against Monmouth on Monday, Nov. 6, in the first of three consecutive home games. The team will then welcome Wagner on Thursday, Nov. 9, followed by Auburn on Sunday, Nov. 12.  

Rutgers will play its first of two New Jersey road opponents as they travel to Walsh Gymnasium to take on Seton Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 15. The meeting will be the 47th all-time between the two teams, and the Scarlet Knights' first trip to South Orange since 2015.  

RU will return to Jersey Mike's Arena for two more games, starting on Saturday, Nov. 18 against St. Francis (PA) before facing Fairfield on Monday, Nov. 20.  

The Scarlet Knights will embark out west to Las Vegas, Nevada for the South Point Shootout. The squad will play two games in the tournament on Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25. Both contests will be played at the South Point Arena located inside of the South Point Hotel & Casino. Opponents and game times will be announced at a later date.  

Upon returning to the east coast, Rutgers will host another three-game home stand. The team will first see Delaware State, on Wednesday, Nov. 29, followed by Lafayette on Saturday, Dec. 2 and La Salle on Wednesday Dec. 6.  

On Wednesday, Dec. 13, RU will take a short bus ride to Princeton for the 22nd all-time meeting between the two teams. 

Finally, to end the nonconference slate, Rutgers will host Virginia Tech, who made an apperance in the 2023 NCAA Final Four, on Sunday, Dec. 17.
