INDIANAPOLIS – Rutgers football made the rounds previewing the 2023 season Wednesday inside Lucas Oil Stadium. Head coach Greg Schiano was joined by LB Deion Jennings, TE Johnny Langan and DL Aaron Lewis representing the Scarlet Knights. The group joined Big Ten Network live in addition to meeting with national media across a variety of platforms.
“I can honestly tell you I've never been more excited to be the head coach at Rutgers University,” Schiano said on the main stage. “I love what we're doing, I love the culture we're building in our program. I love our players, our coaching staff. I'm excited about the way we're handling business both on the field and off.”
Rutgers opens the season Sunday, Sept. 3 at SHI Stadium against Northwestern (noon, CBS), the first time beginning with a Big Ten opponent at home since joining the conference. That is part of three consecutive home games to start the year and seven overall in 2023. Season and individual game tickets are on sale.
