NEW YORK – Rutgers Athletics participated in 'Big Ten Day' on NBC's TODAY Show Plaza this Thursday in New York City. The Rutgers' mascot, Sir Henry, appeared on TODAY to celebrate the Big Ten broadcast partnership with NBC and Peacock.
NBC Sports will produce the Big Ten Saturday Night series of primetime games on NBC and Peacock throughout the football season, as well as nine exclusive games streamed live on Peacock, NBCUniversal's direct-to-consumer streaming service. NBC Sports has established the most dominant primetime franchise in television history, as its Sunday Night Football has been primetime's No. 1 show for an unprecedented 12 consecutive years – a streak that is currently active.
Peacock, NBCUniversal's direct-to-consumer streaming service, which features the most live sports of any SVOD service in the United States will deliver exclusive Big Ten football and basketball games each season, as nine regular-season football games will appear on the platform along with 40-plus men's and women's basketball games.
To celebrate the historic partnership with the Big Ten, NBCUniversal is offering both a student discount and an alumni and parent offer for new Peacock subscriptions. Students are eligible for a discounted 12-month plan at $1.99 per month. Alumni and parents have access to an annual offer of $39.99 for 12 months.
