PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Big Ten officially released the 2023-24 women's basketball conference schedule Thursday afternoon, including 18 total games for Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights will play nine games at Jersey Mike's Arena in addition to nine on the road.
Prudential is the presenting sponsor for Rutgers basketball. Season tickets to watch the Scarlet Knights are available for purchase, while single game tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m.
The Big Ten previously announced Rutgers' conference opponents at the end of June and has now revealed dates for all those contests. Times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
Rutgers will kick off the 2023-24 conference schedule by welcoming the defending Big Ten Regular Season Champions in Indiana on Saturday, Dec. 9.
The team will then go on a two-game road trip starting with Northwestern on Saturday Dec. 30, followed by Purdue on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
The Scarlet Knights will return to Jersey Mike's Arena to host another big opponent in 2023 Big Ten Tournament Champion and NCAA Finals runner-up, Iowa. The two teams will face off on Friday, Jan. 5.
To finish off the month of January, Rutgers will tradeoff between home and road matches, beginning at Ohio State (Thursday, Jan. 11), versus Penn State (Sunday, Jan. 14), at Illinois (Wednesday, Jan. 17), against Michigan (Sunday, Jan. 21), at Wisconsin (Saturday, Jan. 27) and finally back at home against Michigan State (Tuesday, Jan. 30).
Kicking off action in February, RU will take a trip to Nebraska for a contest on Saturday, Feb. 3 before returning "On The Banks" to face Maryland on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
The team will once again hit the road to see Michigan for a second time (Saturday, Feb. 10) before enjoying a two-game home stint, welcoming Minnesota (Tuesday Feb. 13) and Wisconsin (Saturday, Feb. 17).
The Scarlet Knights will follow the homestand with another back-to-back road stretch, heading to nearby Maryland on Wednesday, Feb. 21 and then to Michigan State on Saturday, Feb. 24.
After a week off, Rutgers will close out the regular season back at Jersey Mike's Arena against Northwestern on Sunday, March 3.
The 2024 Big Ten women's basketball tournament will return to Minneapolis for the second consecutive season. The tournament will be played at the Target Center from March 6-10, prior to the men's tournament from March 13-17.
Nonconference Schedule Note
The nonconference home matchup against La Salle, originally scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 6, has been moved up one day and will now be played on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
