GENEVA, Ohio – Rutgers track and field has its sight set on another record-setting weekend when the 2024 Big Ten Indoor Championships begin on Friday, Feb. 23 at the Spire Institute. The Scarlet Knights will look to defend their gold medals from a year ago in four events with several athletes ranked in the top-5 of the conference.

Reigning Big Ten Champions
Sincere Robinson and
Chloe Timberg will look to defend their gold medals in the men's long jump and women's pole vault, respectively. The pair enter the weekend's competition with the No. 1 ranked mark in the conference in their events. Robinson also has the second-best height in the conference in the high jump.
Distance runner
Alex Carlson, who won gold in the 3,000-meter in 2023, enters this year's competition with the fastest time in the conference. She also ranked sixth in the Big Ten in the 800-meter and mile.
Kristina Tossas is the other defending Big Ten Champion for the Scarlet Knights as she won gold last year in the long jump.
The Scarlet Knight own the No. 3 and No. 5 heights in the men's pole vault from
Brian O'Sullivan and
Kevin O'Sullivan. The women's distance medley relay group ranks third entering the weekend, while
Celine-Jada Brown ranks fifth in the women's long jump. The men's distance medley relay team is seventh in the conference, while
Chris Serrao has the eighth-fastest time in the 60-meter hurdles.
