Gymnastics Excels on Senior Night

PISCATAWAY, N.J.- Rutgers gymnastics excelled at Jersey Mike's Arena on Friday night on Senior Night. The team posted a 196.200 in a tri-meet victory over Penn and Yale. The result matched the team's season-best score and tied for the seventh-highest score in team history.
Following the meet, RU celebrated the careers of Avery Balser, Myra Daniels, Emily Leese, Calah Newman, Gianna Ortiz, Jaidyn Raby, Emily Wood, Stephanie Zannella, and Katy Koopman. RU also celebrate its senior managers, Kylie Haffner and Rees Hagler.
The night was capped by Rutgers' 49.325 on floor, a season-best and tied for the fifth-highest score in team history. Maya Jones and Gabrielle Dildy each had a career-high 9.900, which was Dildy's second 9.900 of the night. Harmony Webster matched her career-high with a 9.825.
Rutgers scored 49.075 on the vault to tie for 10th in the Rutgers record book. Gabrielle Dildy led the way with her first collegiate 9.900. Jaidyn Raby celebrated Senior Night with a career-high with a 9.8.
Rutgers combined for a 48.875 on bars. Avery Balser had a team-high 9.85. Valentina Lorente-Garcia posted a 9.80, matching her career-high.
Rutgers followed with a 48.925 on beam. Jacqueline Manifold and Stephanie Zannella each had a 9.825, while Gabrielle Dildy posted a 9.80.
