URBANA, Ill. ā Yana Gurevich and Minchae Kim earned B1G singles victories as No. 75 Rutgers women's tennis (9-5, 0-3 B1G) dropped a 4-2 decision to No. 46 Illinois (10-5, 2-0 B1G), 4-0, on Sunday afternoon at Atkins Tennis Center.

The Illini earned 6-2 and 6-3 decisions on the second and third doubles courts to help themselves to a 1-0 lead in the dual.

RU's first pair of Gurevich and Mai Nguyen held a 4-3 lead on court No. 1 at the conclusion of play.

Gurevich earned her second conference singles win of the spring as the graduate student downed Megan Heuser in straight-sets, 6-4, 6-3, equalizing the dual at one.
