UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — No. 73 Rutgers women's tennis (10-7, 1-5 B1G) battled to the end against Penn State (4-11, 3-2 B1G), but ultimately dropped a 4-3 decision on Friday evening at Sarni Tennis Center.
After RU earned the doubles point, the Nittany Lions picked up three-straight singles wins to jump in front.
Naomi Karki and
Mai Nguyen recorded wins to help the Scarlet Knights equalize the dual, but PSU ultimately claimed the dual with a three-set win on the second court.

Yana Gurevich and Nguyen earned their first B1G ranked victory as a duo, defeating No. 69 Olivia Dorner and Karly Friedland.

Court No. 2 was a battle between Badawi and PSU's Dorner. The competitors split the first two sets, with the Nittany Lion taking the first and the Scarlet Knight taking the second. The match-deciding third set was a battle, but ultimately, Penn State clinched the dual with a 6-4 win in the final frame.
