Alex Carlson improved on her school record in the 1,500-meter, while
Alicia Campbell notched her second career record with the top mark in the hammer as the Scarlet Knights wrapped competition on a spilt weekend.

RU secured a total of 12 performances on the all-time list in addition to the two school records. The Scarlet Knights sent the distance squad to the Virginia Challenge on Friday, April 19 at UVA, while the rest of the squad competed at the USC Outdoor Open on Saturday, April 20 on the campus of the University of South Carolina.

Carlson won the 1,500-meter, shaving more than two seconds off her previous time to improve her school record time to 4:14.04. Campbell won the hammer with a throw of 58.21m (190' 11") to become the school record holder. She also owns the best mark in the indoor weight throw, which she set earlier this year.

The Scarlet Knights collected several top five finishes at the USC Outdoor Open, including a win in the men's javelin as
Robert Paneque finished first with a throw of 66.14m (217' 0"). He was followed by
Zach Semerjian, who placed fourth with a throw of 56.10m (184' 0"). RU went 2-3 in the women's javelin as
Alianna Eucker finished second with a throw of 40.37m (132' 5"), followed by
Emilie Ghalam with a distance of 40.13m (131' 8").

Chloe Timberg placed third in the women's pole vault, clearing a height of 4.25m (13' 11.25"), while on the track,
Bryce Tucker finished third in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.46. Also turning in a top time on the track was the women's 4x100-meter relay with
Cynthia Boakye,
Azariah Grantham,
Jada Ellis and
Sydney Hawkins combining to finish fourth with a time 45.02.

Jin Choi finished fourth in the hammer, recording a throw of 53.51m (175' 6").
Noah Kriesman placed fourth in the men's pole vault with a height that ranks No. 3 all-time as he cleared 5.27m (17' 3.5").
Jabari Higgs-Salaam took fifth in the men's long jump, recording a leap of 7.11m (23' 4").

The Scarlet Knights will return to action for the famed
Penn Relays, beginning on Thursday, April 25 at historic Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
