"Getting the chance to represent no only Rutgers but my country at one of the highest levels is an honor that leaves me speechless," said Timberg. "I am so thankful for everyone who has helped me get to this point and excited to go out there to do what I love most."

Woodell made the cut for his first trip to U.S. Olympic Trials after running a qualifying time in the prelims of the Big Ten Championships. The school record holder in the 400-meter hurdles, Woodell closed out his Scarlet Knights career as an NCAA Championships qualifier and Big Ten Championship scorer.

"This year, heading out to Eugene I am excited to conclude my collegiate career at Olympic Trials," said Woodell. "Rutgers has done a lot for me. It allowed me to follow my aspirations in engineering and athletics and for that I am very excited to represent Rutgers one last time on a big stage."

Winkler is making his bid for a third Olympic Games having previously qualified for Rio in 2016 and Tokyo in 2021. He became an Olympic finalist in Tokyo, finishing seventh in the world with a throw of 77.08m (252' 10"). The American record holder in the event, Winkler was a four-time collegiate All-American, NCAA and Big Ten Champion.
