EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Rutgers women's tennis team (1-1, 0-0 B1G) swept LIU (0-1, 0-0 NEC), 7-0 Saturday afternoon.

The Scarlet Knights claimed the doubles point in two sets before sweeping all six singles matches.

Doubles

Double pair No. 1 Mai Nguyen and Naomi Karki won the first match of the day for RU beating Lucia Garrigues and Mia Tsouklas, 6-3.

Zuzanna Frankowska and Zeynep Ilker then clinched the doubles point against Ksneia Reznitskaya and Paula Guillen Cerver, 6-2.

Singles

Frankowska made quick work of her opponent Reznitskaya, winning 6-0, 6-1.

Karina Jumazhanova then won on court two beating Guillen Cerver 6-0, 6-4 to put Rutgers one match away from the win.

Senior co-captain Minchae Kim then clinched the dual for the Scarlet Knights with a 6-2 win in both sets against Tsouklas.

Transfer Cindy Zhou then earned her first win of the spring beating Jenna Svatos 6-4 in consecutive sets.

After that, Ilker tacked on against Clara Tardivel winning 6-0, 7-6 (4).

Nguyen then completed the sweep for the Scarlet Knights on court 4, beating Garrigues 6-2, 4-6, 10-4 in the tiebreaker.
