NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Rutgers rowing has announced its 2025 spring schedule, highlighted by exhibitions and major competitions.Â
The season begins on March 15 with an exhibition against Temple and Princeton Lightweights in New Brunswick, N.J. The competition kicks in with the Big Ten/ Ivy Dustup on March 22, followed by the Doc Hosea Invitational on March 29, both held in Cherry Hill, N.J.Â
The Scarlet Knights will compete in the Big Ten Invitational in Sarasota, Fla., from April 18 to 19. They will then return to the Northeast on May 4 to compete in the Women's Sprints in Worcester, Mass.Â
The Big Ten Championships will be held in Indianapolis on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18. They will be followed by the NCAA Championships in West Windsor, N.J., from Friday, May 30, through Sunday, June 1. Â
Under seventh-year head coach Justin Price, Rutgers rowing continued its rise in 2024, finishing 14th at the NCAA Championships for its fifth consecutive national appearance. With a 10th-place national result, the Varsity 4 led the way, while the Varsity 8 and 2nd Varsity 8 finished in 14th and 15th place, respectively.Â
Rutgers scored 55 points, an increase from its 2023 total, and was proud to have two CRCA All-America selections: Lily Wood (Honorable Mention) and Victoria Grieder (Second Team). The Scarlet Knights won three medals in the Big Ten Championships, including gold for the third varsity 4, and tied their best performance with a third-place team result. Rutgers also won two Big Ten Boat of the Week awards during their Spring season.
