PISCATAWAY, N.J. – To kick off R NIL x Homecoming Weekend festivities,  The Rutgers Boardwalk, presented by Visit New Jersey, will be open for the first time for two straight days starting Friday, Oct. 17 from 6-10 p.m.

Check out safe trick-or-treating to get into the Halloween spirit. Kids 12 and under will receive stadium-approved Rutgers Halloween bags and candy/treats both days.

The action resumes on Saturday at the Rutgers Boardwalk from 2-6:30 p.m. where kids can take part in the costume contest, participate in Simon Sez, and a chance to win big prizes at the pep rally. Parking is available in the blue and yellow lots on Friday evening. Fans and families can enjoy the following activities both days:

The No. 13 Rutgers men’s soccer team will face No. 21 Washington at 7 p.m. on Friday night at Yurcak Field as part of the weekend festivities, followed by Rutgers Football facing No. 8 Oregon, presented by RWJBarnabas Health at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday evening where fans are encouraged to wear red and be in their seats by 6 p.m. for the return of "Light Up The Knight," a stadium-wide, fully-integrated pregame fan experience powered through the Scarlet Knights App.

Rutgers Halloween bags can be picked up at the men’s soccer game on Friday and along the Rutgers Boardwalk on Friday and Saturday as well as at the following events throughout R NIL x Homecoming weekend:

• Field Hockey vs. Northwestern @ 4 p.m. – Bauer Field (Oct. 17)
• Field Hockey vs. Iowa @ 12 p.m. – Bauer Field (Oct. 19)
• Women’s Soccer vs. Michigan @ 1 p.m. – Yurcak Field (Oct. 19)
• Volleyball vs. Purdue @ 1 p.m – Jersey Mike’s Arena (Oct. 19)
