PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers swimming and diving began its tri-meet against Arkansas and Miami on Friday night. The Scarlet Knights competed in preliminary heats across 10 events. Following Friday's action, Miami leads Rutgers 101-84, and Arkansas leads Rutgers 125-61.
During the opening day of the meet, RU had four swims added to the program's top-10 list. Friday,
Anna Vlachou finished the 100 yard butterfly in 53.25, marking the fourth best time in program history.
Ellie Schinsky raced it to 54.01, setting a new personal best and ranking 9
th on the program's top-10 list.
Ana Hazlehurst finished the 400 yard individual medley in 4:16.57, which ranks fourth in program history. In the 50 yard freestyle, freshman
Emilianna Gonzalez finished in 22.83, the sixth fastest time in RU history.
On Saturday, the meet will continue starting at 11 a.m. with event finals. Saturday's meet will be live streamed on B1G+.
