PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football's next home game versus Maryland (Nov. 8) is set for a 2:30 p.m. start on FS1, the conference office announced Monday. The annual Military Appreciation game is presented by Provident Bank and will feature the Scarlet Knights wearing American flag helmets.
Fans can purchase single game tickets at ScarletKnights.com. Group tickets are available by calling 866-445-GORU. As part of Military Appreciation, Rutgers has partnered with Vet Tix to provide free tickets for service members and veterans. To request tickets, visit VetTix.org.
A military flyover will take place prior to the game, while various military vehicles will be placed along The Rutgers Boardwalk for photo opportunities. Military members will be recognized throughout the day, take part in the pep rally and line the pregame tunnel to welcome the Scarlet Knights onto the field.
The Rutgers Boardwalk, presented by Visit New Jersey, opens at 10 a.m. with a chance to meet favorite superheroes such as Spiderman, Batman, Wonder Woman and more. Stop by Sir Henry's Castle to write a letter to troops overseas and veterans. The fun always includes free rides and games, activities, live entertainment and enjoyment for the whole family. Giveaways for the game include "Beat Maryland" buttons and shakers.
Rutgers won last season's meeting against Maryland, 31-17.
