
Harer’s Runner-Up Finish Highlights Action at Black Knight Open

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Sophomore Conner Harer (157) produced a runner-up finish competing unattached at the Black Knight Open on Sunday in West Point, New York. Harer was one of five placewinners for No. 13 Rutgers wrestling, which included Mason Gibson (third, 141), Dagen Condomitti (fourth, 157), Nick Villani (fourth, 149) and Nate Blanchette (sixth, 174).
Harer produced wins in his first three matches, including a 4-1 win in sudden victory over Ethan Mojena (Brown) to advance to the 157-pound title match. Harer lost to No. 32 Joey Antonio (Army) by 9-3 decision to place second.
Gibson wrestled back to a third-place finish, defeating Ryan Hartung (Binghamton) by 4-3 decision in his final bout of the tournament. Condomitti advanced to the semifinals at 157 pounds, while Villani tallied three wins on the front side of the 149-pound bracket.
Rutgers returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 23 when it sends its full lineup to the Keystone Classic in Philadelphia.
