
Tennis Takes Down St. John's for Fourth Straight Win

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Rutgers women's tennis team (4-1, 0-0 B1G) defeated St. John's (4-1, 0-0 Big East), 4-0 Friday afternoon. This is the Scarlet Knights fourth straight win of the season, and third without surrendering a point.
"The team did a good job focusing on themselves and implementing their game plans," said head coach Hilary Ritchie. "The doubles teams took good risks and it paid off. We're excited for a strong week of practice leading up to our road match at Yale."
Doubles
After a forfeit on court No. 3 by St. John's, the RU grabbed an early 1-0 lead thanks to a 6-4 win from Karina Jumazhanova and Minchae Kim.
Singles
The Red Storm then defaulted on courts No. 5 & 6 putting the Scarlet Knights up 3-0.
Zuzanna Frankowska made quick work on court No. 3, winning 6-3 in straight sets to clinch the match for Rutgers.
