SARASOTA, Fla. - No. 9 Rutgers rowing won eight races over the first two session of the Big Ten Invitational on Friday at Nathan Benderson Park.

The 2nd Varsity 4 paced the Scarlet Knights with a win in each session, dominating No. 7 Brown in the morning by 11+ seconds and outracing No. 6 Tennessee by 5+ seconds in the afternoon.

Four of Rutgers' six wins in Session I came against No. 7 Brown (V8, 2V8, V4, 2V4), while the 3rd Varsity 4 beat out Minnesota and Wisconsin and the 4th Varsity 8 finished ahead of runner-up Michigan State by 13+ seconds.

The 3rd Varsity 8 joined the 2V4 with a win in the afternoon, beating out No. 12 Michigan by 7 seconds.

Rutgers returns for Session III of the Big Ten Invitational on Sat., April 19 at 8:30 a.m.
