Four Rotations: Gymnastics NCAA Regionals

The four things to know before the Scarlet Knights go to NCAA Regionals on Thu., April 3

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –  Rutgers gymnastics makes its first trip to the NCAA Regional Championships as a team since 2014, taking on Clemson in a play-in dual on Thu., April 3 at 3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT) at the Coleman Coliseum.

Clemson is ranked No. 27 with an NQS of 196.225. Rutgers qualified with an NQS of 195.890, ranked No. 34. The Scarlet Knights will be competing for an opportunity to join a quad against 3-seed Florida, 14-seed Oregon State, and NC State on Fri., April 4. The top two teams from that second round quad will advance to the regional final on Sun., April 6 in Tuscaloosa. The top two teams from the regional final head to Forth Worth, Texas for the national semifinals on April 17.

RU scored a 193.750 at its last NCAA Regional meet in 2014. Current acting head coach Anastasia Candia scored a 9.750 on bars and led the squad with a 9.725 on beam at the regional meet.

RUTGERS TO REGIONALS!

Rutgers gymnastics is heading to the NCAA Regional Championships for the first time as a team since 2014. Rutgers qualified for one of the 36 spots at regionals with an NQS of 195.890, ranked 34th nationally. In addition to the team selection, three individuals qualified based on their NQS event scores throughout 2025. Delaney Adrian qualified in the all-around, while Gabrielle Dildy and Rachael Riley qualified on beam.

B1G MOMENT

The Scarlet Knights qualified for NCAA's with their 196.225 at the Big Ten Championships, their highest conference meet score in program history - surpassing a 195.750 from 2022. The bar squad, including four freshmen, combined for a 49.275, tied for the fourth-highest score in program history. RU finished 8th in the new 12-team Big Ten and posted its 12th 196+ since the beginning of 2019.

B1G SCORES

Rutgers gymnastics finished the regular season in grand style with its third-highest score in program history (196.550) to win a dual meet at New Hampshire. All four events came in above 49, led by Delaney Adrian's career-high 39.300 in the all-around. The big score marked Rutgers' 11th 196+ since the beginning of the 2019 season.

RILEY REIGNS

Rutgers scored a 195.875 at the Big Four Meet at Ohio State, highlighted by Rachael Riley tying a program record and winning the event title on beam with a 9.950 and the beam team scoring the third-best total in program history with their 49.325. Riley's 9.950 was the highest beam score across all 12 Big Ten teams during Big Four weekend. Riley leads the team with six event crowns in 2025.
