PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse had four student-athletes named as All-Americans as
Inside Lacrosse unveiled the listing for media voting produced All-Americans.
Joe Juengerkes,
Colin Kurdyla,
Cardin Stoller and
Matthew Paolatto were recognized as Honorable Mention All-Americans.
Juengerkes made an instant impact at RU in his first season with the program following a transfer from Princeton. Named a team captain ahead of his first season on the field in a Scarlet Knights uniform, the Islip, N.Y. native was named Second Team All-Big Ten. A two-time selection to the USILA Team of the Week. The short-stick defensive midfielder had seven goals, four assists, 55 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers
Stoller excelled as the Scarlet Knights goalkeeper this season. Previously tabbed as the First Team All-Big Ten, he was in the top-12 nationally this season in both goals-against-average (8.85) and save percentage (56.7%). He made 182 saves, third in the league in saves per game. The Owing Mills, Md. native, was on the Tewaaraton Award's Top 25 Watch List, had 12 double-digit save games. For his 30 game career, he has 286 stops.
Juengerkes and Stoller were both previously named All-Americans as well by USA Lacrosse Magazine. Behind their efforts on defense, Rutgers defense was seventh nationally in scoring defense at 8.88 goals allowed per game. That was the lowest goals per game allowed by Rutgers since 2011, and their best national ranking in scoring defense over that span. RU did not allow more than 13 goals in any game, which included starting the season with five straight games holding the opponent to single digits and held two Big Ten foes under nine goals. RU caused 136 turnovers, the most per game since 2017 for the program, and opponents averaged 19.5 turnovers per game, the most for RU opponents in the Big Ten era.
Kurdyla earns his first All-American recognition after previously being named a Second Team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Tournament team selection. The sophomore from Bridgewater, N.J., who was also a Big Ten Preseason Player to Watch, led the team with 27 goals and 40 assists, while also posting 13 assists, second on the team. He was seventh in the Big Ten in goals per game and ninth in points per game. Kurdyla also posted nine goals and 13 points in the five Big Ten regular season conference games, fifth in the league, and added six more goals in the conference tournament, giving him 15 goals across the last seven games of the year, and 21 goals in the final nine contests.
Paolatto joined RU for the 2025 season after three seasons at Union, where he was a three-time All-American and Faceoff Person of the Year in 2024 at the Division III level. The Sherborn, Mass. native excelled in 2025 in his lone campaign as a Scarlet Knight. A Midseason All-American by
Inside Lacrosse, he was also once named to the USILA Team of the Week. He won 173-of-292 faceoffs, with 99 ground balls, two goals, four assists and five caused turnovers. He ranked 16
th nationally with 6.19 ground balls per game and 15
th (second in the Big Ten) with a faceoff winning percentage of 59.2%.
