PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football's Big Ten home opener against Iowa (Sept. 19, 8 p.m., presented by Horizon) and road trip to Washington (Oct. 10, 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. local) have both been selected for the FOX College Football Friday package, the Big Ten and FOX announced Thursday. It will mark the second straight year starting Big Ten play with a home Friday game, as the Scarlet Knights defeated Washington, 21-18, in front of a crowd of 54,079 last season at SHI Stadium.

RU will also play a Friday night game on the west coast in consecutive years after traveling to USC for the first time in 2024. The Scarlet Knights will make their second trip to Husky Stadium, previously playing in Seattle in 2016.

In addition, game times for five other matchups are now set, including all home games through October. The season opener at SHI Stadium versus Ohio (Thursday, Aug. 28) will kick off at 6 p.m., A Walk to Believe/R Community against Miami (Ohio) (Saturday, Sept. 6, presented by GGL Law Firm) is slated for 3:30 p.m., with the meeting against Norfolk State (Saturday, Sept. 13, presented by PNC Bank) also set to begin at 3:30 p.m. prior to the Friday matchup against Iowa. The Scarlet Knights start with four consecutive home contests for the first time since hosting five in a row to open 2007.

Saturday, Oct. 18 versus Oregon, presented by RWJBarnabas Health, is part of Homecoming & Family Weekend and starts at either 6:30 or 7 p.m. Add to the fun with a special Homecoming & Family Weekend pregame tailgate right outside of SHI Stadium. The road game at Purdue on Oct. 25 was announced for a noon kickoff.

Season ticket holders will be able to purchase single game tickets on Monday, June 16. Single game ticket sales for the general public will go on sale on Monday, June 23.
