IOWA CITY, IOWA – Rutgers freshman right-hander Ella Harrison cracked the Scarlet Knight career top 10 list after fanning nine Hawkeyes on Saturday afternoon, but it was Iowa taking a 3-0 game two victory at Bob Pearl Field.

- Ella Harrison joined the Rutgers career top 10 list with nine strikeouts on the day. She moved past Sharon Martin (1980-83) into 10th with 211 Ks in her first season "On The Banks". Dresden Maddox (2013-16) sits in ninth place on the list having fanned 241 opponents in her career.
- RU outhit the Hawkeyes, 4-3, with senior Jillian Anderson going 2-for-3 and delivering a double.
- Freshman Addie Osborne and junior Siera Hoekstra also recorded base hits in the loss.
- The Hawkeyes swooped in on a passed ball for the early 1-0 lead at the end of one inning in the books. Young led off for the hosts with a walk, advanced to second on a wild pitch and reached third tagging up on a foul fly out before scoring on a passed ball.
- A trio of hits for Iowa added two more in the bottom of the third. Jena Young singled to center and scored on a Tory Bennett double down the left-field line to the wall. Bennett went on to score on a Desiree Rivera single to left, pushing the Hawkeyes out to a 3-0 edge.
- Rutgers was denied the chance to plate a run in the top of the sixth. Jillian Anderson led off with a double to right and moved over to third on a ground out by Bailey Briggs. The Hawkeyes, however, kept RU from plating a run behind a strikeout and groundout.
The regular season comes to a close as Rutgers and Iowa take to the field in the series finale at Bob Pearl Field on Sunday, May 4 at 1 p.m. (ET).
