LAS VEGAS – Rutgers football made the rounds previewing the 2025 season Tuesday inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Head coach Greg Schiano was joined by LB Dariel Djabome, QB Athan Kaliakmanis and WR Ian Strong representing the Scarlet Knights. The group joined Big Ten Network live in addition to meeting with national and local media across a variety of platforms.
"After all the changes that are going on in college football, it still comes down to a few things: Getting prepared, being tough, and then go putting it on tape," Schiano said. "That's what this team I think has done a great job of doing so far in this offseason in summer, and I can't wait to coach them."
Rutgers opens the season Thursday, Aug. 28 hosting Ohio at SHI Stadium. The Scarlet Knights are coming off a second straight winning season, posting a program-high points per game in the Big Ten era. The 2025 campaign opens with four consecutive games at SHI Stadium for the first time since hosting five in a row to open 2007.
