HARRISONBURG, VA. – Head coach Jim McEldery picked up his 170th career win as Rutgers men's soccer (2-0-1) dominated James Madison (0-3) Friday night, 4-1.  
Joschi Schelb picked up three points on the night with a goal and an assist while Amer Lukovic, Andrew Kitch and Devon Stopek also found the back of the net.  
JMU got one through just after halftime on a set piece into the box, but then it was all offensive for the Scarlet Knights, with a a pair of second half goals to seal the victory.

	- The 4-1 rout is McElderry's 170th career victory and his 43rd "On the Banks."
- Schelb's goal marks his second at RU and the 15th of his career. He has now netted the first goal in back-to-back contests.  
- The Freiburg, Germany native also added an assist against the Dukes, the 16th of his career. With two goals and an assist, Schelb leads the team with five points.  
- Lukovic's score came in his RU debut and marks his 63rd career goal.  
- The goals from Kitch and Stopek were both the first of their collegiate careers.  
- Eight of RU's nine goals this season have come from newcomers. Stopek is the lone returner to net a goal so far.  
- The last time Rutgers scored four goals was at Northeastern on Oct. 21, 2023. They also netted four scores in a victory over Northwestern on Sept. 17, 2022.  
- Ciaran Dalton made two saves in net to remain 10th all-time with 177 career saves.   
- Nick Collins and Dalton are the only Scarlet Knights to play all 90 minutes of all three matches this campaign.  
- Rutgers is now 1-0 all-time against JMU, picking up the win in the first meeting of the two teams.

Rutgers will continue its Virginia trip at William & Mary on Sept. 1 (6 p.m.).
