Women's Basketball Reveals 2025-26 Big Ten Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Big Ten and Rutgers women's basketball have announced 2025-26 conference schedule, presented by Prudential.   

This will be the second year with an 18-team conference field. In addition to the team's 11 nonconference contests. The team will once again play a full schedule of 29 games including 18 home games at Jersey Mike's Arena. 

RU will kick off its Big Ten slate against Iowa on Saturday, Dec. 6 "On The Banks." The team will play two nonconference contests at Princeton (Dec. 10) and versus Lafayette (Dec. 20) before getting back into league play. Rutgers will finish out 2025 at Michigan State on Sunday, Dec. 28.  

From there, the team will trade off home and away games starting on Jan. 1 when they will host Wisconsin before heading to Ohio State on Sunday, Jan. 4.  

The Scarlet Knights will return to Jersey Mike's Arena to take on Maryland (Jan. 8) before once again heading to the Midwest to face Northwestern (Jan. 11).  

RU will stay on the road as it travels to Penn State on Sunday, Jan. 18, for the first of two meetings.  

Rutgers will enjoy its biggest home stretch of the campaign, with three consecutive home games starting on Thursday, Jan. 22 against Michigan. The squad will then welcome the west coast duo of Washington, for the first time in program history on Sunday, Jan. 25 and Oregon for the first time since 1990 on Wednesday, Jan. 28. 

In its longest trek of the season, the Scarlet Knights will set off for California to meet the other two west coast programs. RU will play at USC for the first time in program history on Sunday, Feb. 1 and then go to UCLA for the first time since 1997 on Wednesday, February 4.  

The team will make a quick turnaround to host Minnesota on Sunday, February 8, before once again hitting the road for another pair of contests. Rutgers will head to Purdue (Feb. 14) before making its way to Illinois (Feb. 17). 

The Scarlet Knights will come back "On The Banks" to face Penn State for the second time on Saturday, Feb. 21. The team will remain home and welcome Indiana on Wednesday, Feb. 25.  

Finally, RU will end the regular season with a trip to Nebraska on Saturday, February 28. 

The 33rd Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament will return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis in 2026 and is scheduled for March 4-8.
