PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football is gearing up for an electrifying night on Friday, as the Scarlet Knights host their highly-anticipated
Blackout Game. Fans are encouraged to join in the excitement at SHI Stadium and help make history by participating in a unique pregame event during the team's pregame spirit show and band performance.
Let's "Light Up The Knight."
As part of the festivities leading up to the game, fans can take part in a synchronized light show to set the stage for the Scarlet Knights' national broadcast on FOX. Here's how YOU can be part of the action:
- Download the Scarlet Knights App
- Before game day, make sure to download the official Scarlet Knights app. Available on both iOS and Android, the app will be your key to participating in the light show (click here). Already have the app downloaded? Make sure it's updated to the latest version.
- Arrive Early: Be in your seat at least 30 minutes before kickoff
- Be sure to be in the stadium at least 30 minutes before kickoff to join in the excitement and ensure you're ready for the big moment.
- Activate the Light Show
- Once you're at the stadium, open the Scarlet Knight app and click on the "Light Show" button at the bottom center of your screen. You will be asked to enable your microphone and grant access to your camera, allowing your phone to be synchronized to the music. This will be activated for the entire country to see live on FOX.
- Wear Your Black – It's a Blackout!
- In addition to "Light Up the Knight," fans are encouraged to wear black!
