NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Rutgers tennis team concluded day one at the Bulldog Invitational in New Haven, Connecticut, on Friday afternoon. The Scarlet Knights faced the host, Yale, and players from Quinnipiac.

Doubles

Three pairs of Scarlet Knights took the courts in doubles, winning two sets.

Zuzanna Frankowska and newcomer Savannah Cohen earned a 6-1 win in their first match of the year.

Another new duo in Zeynep Ilker and rookie Stella Schmitz took home a 7-5 win against a Quinnipiac duo.

Singles

Returner Zeynep Ilker won her first set against Quinnipiac's Lilly Black 6-2, eventually winning the match 11-9.
