Jan 19 | Women's Basketball
PISCATAWAY, N.J. — The Rutgers women's basketball team will host Washington on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. for its annual Play4Kay game, presented by RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The entire 2025-26 season is presented by Prudential.
Through Play4Kay, former NC State head coach Kay Yow saw a way to bring communities together and honor cancer warriors in the fight against ALL cancers affecting women. As one woman is diagnosed with cancer every minute, Rutgers and head coach Coquese Washington are united in the fight against all cancers affecting women.
The contest will feature multiple giveaways including pink T-shirts, light sticks, bracelets and shakers. Members of the Rutgers Kids Club will also receive a special basketball jibbitz. All giveaways will be available while supplies last.
The Scarlet Knights will celebrate cancer survivors, thrivers and warriors throughout the game as well as during a special halftime ceremony. In addition, the team will recognize RU students and employees making an impact.
In addition, the Rutgers Women's Basketball team will host its annual pregame reception, with special speakers, giveaways and activities for all cancer survivors, thrivers and warriors.
Fans can also be on the lookout for a poster making station and "I Play 4" signs on the concourse. There will also be airbrush face/arm tattoos, a roaming photobooth and pink concession specials including pink Dunkin' Donut munchkins.
Postgame, select Scarlet Knights will be available for autographs with an exclusive pink poster.
