Track and Field Posts Strong Showing In Split Weekend
Mar 28 | Track & Field
RALEIGH, N.C. and ORLANDO, Fla. – Rutgers track and field split its squad, sending the distance group to the Raleigh Relays, while the remaining Scarlet Knights competed at the UCF Knights Invitational on Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28. RU collected six event wins and several PRs between the two meets.
"Another strong week," said Bobby Farrell, director of track & field and cross country. "These last two weekends, we really wanted to take advantage of the weather and competition. I think it was a success. We already put 22 athletes in position to qualify for NCAAs. Next week will be a lighter week as we prep for our two home meets coming up in April."
