Men's Lacrosse Raising Money for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers men's lacrosse will be seeking to LaCROSSe Out Cancer in conjunction with it's upcoming home game. The Scarlet Knights will next return to SHI Stadium on Saturday, March 14, hosting Bellarmine at 12 pm. For the second straight year, RU will partner with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation to raise money for a worthy cause.
Lacrosse players and teams nationwide are joining forces with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation to raise critically needed funding for pediatric cancer research. Forty-one children are diagnosed each day with cancer in the US, and more children under 20 are lost to cancer than any other disease. Rutgers is partnering with the organization to help raise money for research and advancing lifesaving treatments for kids.
The Scarlet Knights will be wearing specially designed shirts in the pregame warmups to promote this cause. Supporters of Rutgers' men's lacrosse are encouraged to help the team in raising funds by visiting here.
